          At Elbit America, health and safety is a continuous focus across our operations at every level of our business. We recognize that our people are our greatest asset, and we are passionate about looking for ways to better support our employees’ health and wellbeing – inside and outside of the workplace. Some of the ways we support our people’s work-life balance is by offering employees unlimited PTO options, a week-long, mandatory holiday season shutdown period and the opportunity to work a 9/80 work schedule.

          Our 9/80 program looks at a two-week period and splits the business days into eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day. During the first week, Elbit America’s employees work 9 hours a day Monday through Thursday, with Friday being an 8-hour day. During the second week, team members work 9 hours a day Monday through Thursday but have Friday off. This means our employees who opt into this working schedule receive 26 three-day weekends per year.


          For our team members, this type of work schedule comes with many benefits including less commute, increased flexibility and improved work-life balance, which ultimately can lead to improved mental and physical health, increased engagement and productivity and much more. We are grateful to our people for all that they do for each other, our customers and our communities, and we look forward to continuing to innovate to find additional ways to better support our teams.
