Elbit America welcomes Katie Myers to Washington-based team

Experience on the Hill will benefit Myers’ new role as Government Relations Manager for the company

Leveraging experience on Capitol Hill and a career working as a senior legislative assistant, Elbit Systems of America (Elbit America) welcomes Katie Myers to a new Government Relations Manager position based at the company’s Washington Operations Office in Arlington, VA.

Serving as the company’s link to members of Congress, Executive Branch leadership, and other governmental decision makers, Myers will be the first dedicated government relations manager for the company, reporting to Vice President of Washington Operations Ted Fordyce.

Fordyce said, “We are extremely lucky to have gained such a valuable teammate.  Katie’s experiences from both the Senate and House of Representatives will make us even more effective on Capitol Hill.  I am excited to have her on our team and look forward to her achievements.”

Katie Myers said, “I’m excited to take what I learned from the Hill and the government side and now apply it to how industry supports the United States defense strategy. I’m excited for the challenge.”

Myers’ job will consist of managing relationships with Congress, sharing the Elbit America story and its many innovative capabilities to support the American Warfighter and those of our nation’s allies.

After many years at work in Washington, D.C., Myers has key knowledge on the legislative and defense appropriations processes. For the remainder of 2022, Myers will work closely with Elbit America’s Washington-based team to organize legislative priorities for the coming year.

Prior to joining the Elbit America team, Myers worked for both U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) and U.S Congressman Mike Simpson (R-ID-02), based out of their Washington, D.C. offices.
