Elbit Systems of America awards more than $100K in college scholarships to employee dependents

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – JULY 26, 2021 – Elbit Systems of America is pleased to present 101 outstanding employee dependents from across the country with a $1,000 undergraduate college scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic term – the largest group of recipients in program history. This scholarship program is one of the most popular and valued benefits Elbit Systems of America provides to a broad segment of employees.

Since the dependent scholarship program was launched, Elbit Systems of America has awarded more than half a million dollars in scholarships to deserving students. The 2021-2022 scholarship recipients come from more than 60 different colleges and universities, with 50 different major degrees represented – the most popular being Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Nursing, Biology and Psychology.

New or returning undergraduate college students who are dependents of an active Elbit Systems of America employee, with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, were eligible to apply for a scholarship. Recipients were selected on the basis of their leadership skills, participation in extracurricular activities at school and in their community, a recommendation from a professional source, and their academic record.

“Beyond our walls, we are investing in the greater workforce of tomorrow and awarding 101 college scholarships to deserving sons and daughters of Elbit America employees,” said Raanan Horowitz, President and CEO of Elbit Systems of America. “These students have exceptionally bright futures ahead of them, and Elbit America is proud to support their journeys.”
