    Sean Bond joins Elbit Systems of America as Senior Vice President of Airborne Solutions

    FORT WORTH, TEXAS NOV. 3, 2020 – Sean Bond has joined Elbit Systems of America (Elbit America) as a Senior Vice President to lead the Airborne Solutions business unit effective Nov. 2, 2020. With more than 25 years in the aerospace and defense industry, Bond has an exemplary reputation and is well known in the market where Elbit America operates.

    “Elbit America’s avionics and mission systems are in operation on many of the leading United States aircraft platforms and we continue to innovate and support the digital transformation that our customers are embarking on. Sean will bring valuable experience to our executive leadership team, advancing our growth in this area and leading engagements with key customers and partners,” said Raanan Horowitz, President and CEO of Elbit Systems of America. “We are pleased to welcome Sean to Elbit America and look forward to his contributions in Airborne Solutions.”

    Bond brings a range of diverse executive and technical experiences to this role, including: helicopter and jet engine manufacturing; avionics, power electronics, and aerospace control systems manufacturing; and air, land and space systems.

    Bond’s prior experience includes program management for the V-22 Osprey at Bell and the Joint Strike Fighter engine at Pratt & Whitney. Bond recently served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of HDT Global, the largest expeditionary infrastructure provider to the U.S. Department of Defense.

    Bond earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland. He also holds certificates from the Aerospace Engineering Program at the U.S. Naval Academy and the Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.
