New Vice President of Engineering and Vice President of Technology and Innovation

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (Oct. 2, 2016) – Elbit Systems of America, the U.S. subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd., announced today that Tiffany Nesbit was named Vice President of Engineering and Douglas Sandklev will fill the new role of Vice President of Technology and Innovation. Nesbit and Sandklev will both be charged with continuing advancements in innovation of field-proven technologies and solutions to help meet US warfighter's mission needs.

According to Horowitz, Nesbit and Sandklev backgrounds give the new vice presidents the unique insight necessary to advance the company’s commitment to providing innovative solutions for our nation’s warfighter.

Nesbit has over 25 years of aerospace experience, most recently with Honeywell, in research and development leadership roles including: Director of Engineering in China, interfacing with COMAC on developing the C919 aircraft; Director of Aerospace Software Center of Excellence, an organization with more than 250 engineers across eight sites and three countries; and Engineering Lead, Flight Controls Joint Venture Formation Team.

Bringing over twenty years of experience to the Elbit Systems of America role of Vice President of Technology and Innovation, Sandklev will work closely with customers—including the U.S. government and prime contractors’ research and development organizations, industry partners, and its supplier base to develop integrated technology strategies.

“With a notable aerospace and defense career, primarily with Lockheed Martin, Sandklev’s experience is marked by technological innovations and sustained business growth,” continued Horowitz. “We look forward to the contributions Doug will make in delivering superior capabilities to our military.”
