    Matt Steenman

    Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
    Matt Steenman

    Matthew Steenman joined Elbit Systems of America in 2024 as Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he is responsible for guidance, vision, and strategic impact of the company’s Engineering and Technology organization.

    Prior to joining Elbit America, Matthew was the Vice President & General Manager of L3Harris Special Missions Group. Previously, he held engineering roles at multiple levels, culminating in his serving as the Vice President of Engineering for the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Sector of L3Harris.

    Matthew served more than 14 years as an active duty U.S. Air Force officer in combat operations and rapid aircraft system integration, modification, test and fielding. He currently serves as a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

    Matthew earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Penn State University and a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Additionally, he holds a Master of Science in Flight Test Engineering from the Air Force Test Pilot School and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
